WoodCreek Reserve is serviced by Republic Services through the City of Katy.

 

Republic Services is announcing the following change of waste collection services effective June 7, 2017 for WoodCreek Reserve and several surrounding communities.

  • Your waste collection day will change to Wednesday, beginning June 7th

  • Your recycling collection day will change to the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month

  • Heavy trash is also collected on Wednesday of each week for those items that will not fit into the trash container

Other important reminders to help us offer the best service possible are the following:

  • Trash must be placed at the curb by 8:00 AM

  • Collection will be completed between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM on each service day 

  • No trash shall be placed at curb for collection except on the designated trash day

  • Carts shall be placed at curb or as close to the roadway as possible without interfering with traffic and not greater than five feet from the roadway and at least 3 feet from other containers, cars, mailboxes, etc.

  • Wheel side of cart should face your home and the cart opening toward the street

  • Do not overfill the cart, the lid must be closed

  • Return your cart to your property after your collection has occurred or at the end of the day at the latest

Heavy trash is also collected on Wednesday of each week for those items that will not fit into the trash container. Heavy trash includes: appliances, hot water heaters, mattresses, heavy or large volumes of large bagged yard waste, and other white goods appropriate for disposal, shall be placed within five feet of the curbside and will be collected on the same day as your regular trash. All branches and tree limbs must be cut to 4 foot lengths and tied in small bundles that can be lifted and handled by a single person. Bundles should be no larger than 18 inches in diameter and weigh no more than 40 pounds. Refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, or items that contain CFC’s (freon) by law, must have the gas removed by a licensed technician and be red tagged prior to collection. The following items will not be collected: cross ties, tires, solvents, paint, petroleum products, pool chemicals, fertilizer, herbicides, pesticides, hazardous material,/chemicals, logos or stumps, car batteries, soil, rocks, concrete, carpet, carpet padding, construction material, medical waste, medical sharps and closed medical containers.
